Who Is Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal
Tab Trade — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from one account. Many pick one platform. Having both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
This is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.
