TabTrade — The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.

What You Trade On

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The speed is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
